Dear INSERT NAME,

Last month, we welcomed many of you during the ERS meeting in Milan. Thank you all for visiting our exhibition stand – we really hope that you enjoyed another excellent conference.

We have two more Breas webinars in the coming weeks; the first is on the 26th of October on Ethics in Pediatric NIV, and the second is on the 30th of November on Peripheral Airway Clearance Techniques.

After these events, we'll close another educational year in which we have presented various topics. If you want to review some of the highlights, simply scan the QR codes or click on the various links in this newsletter. We have broken them down by ventilation, airway clearance and monitoring.

As we move towards the busy winter months ahead, we really hope you can still find time to make use of the wealth of training material and content created for Education by Breas. As always, we aim to support and hopefully improve your daily patient care by sharing best practice.

Education by Breas should be a collaborative and fascinating place to gather information. As always, if you think we are missing something, please let us know at breasclinicalteam@breas.com.

Best Regards,

The Education by Breas Team

FEATURE

The aim of IPPB is a physiological improvement of the inspiratory flow and optimization of ventilation through the collateral airways. This, in turn, can help by getting air behind secretions and mobilizing them into the central airways. This technique is often additional to the manual airway clearance techniques.

DISCOVER

A lot of topics have been discussed over the last year(s), including the basics of ventilation, MPV, ALS, OHS, COPD, telemonitoring, pediatrics, end of life and more. If you have suggestions for topics, feel free to ask what you would like to be discussed.

Also, in Airway clearance, there were a lot of topics we covered. Humidification during AWC, when to start, how to start, AWC in ALS, in the ICU, in children, the use of the lung volume recruitment bag and more.

Once a patient has started therapy, we naturally want to know how they are doing. Reading the data provides a lot of information, and with a trained eye, you can sometimes see even more. Sometimes, you have to start with the basics; everything on patient ventilator polygraphy and monitoring is covered here.
