Dear INSERT NAME,

We are already halfway through the year. Time flies and each day we are confronted with numerous challenges and changes. We often mention telemonitoring in our newsletter, and with good reason! More regions are showing interest and taking a closer look at the current way of working. This is due to several factors: the growing number of chronically ventilated patients, fewer staff, and more challenging travel conditions that result in a loss of valuable time. As a result, efficiency is more important than ever. To explain our contribution, we would like to highlight our sales and clinical team in the field. They offer much more than just sales support. How to optimally deploy your staff, how to set up a workflow differently and how to get good reporting (API integration) are questions that occupy many of you today. We hear your challenges and dare to take a different path, with the patient at the forefront. So, break the ICE (Innovative, Connected & Empowered) and BE MORE.

Education by Breas has been around for several years now and covers around 350 different topics. Most of our product videos are available in nine languages, with a tenth coming soon, all aimed at making things easier for you as a customer or user. Our statistics show that certain topics attract a lot of interest, which is why we would like to highlight them again in this newsletter.

If you have any feedback on our new webinar format or feel something is missing, please let us know. We will contact you to see how we can better meet your needs. Email us at: breasclinicalteam@breas.com.

From the 7th to 11th September, we will be at the ERS in Vienna and we hope to meet you in person. For those who have not yet registered, you can register early at a reduced rate by clicking here.

And of course, please save the dates from 6th to 8th March 2025, when we will be attending JICD-ERCA in Lyon. As usual, we will offer an education program for two days from 17:30 to 18:30. Registration is now open; you can sign up by clicking here.

Best Regards,
The Education by Breas Team

Neurodisability comprises a heterogeneous group of disorders which share the gross motor function classification system (GMFCS) class IV, V or equivalent. CPAP or NIV are not traditional treatments in children with severe neurodisability and have only been proposed recently in this population. In this overview, Prof Fauroux explains how to start and follow up this treatment.

Patients with a weak cough can be helped in various ways: autonomously, e.g. with frog breathing; using an LVR bag; with manually assisted cough techniques with the help of a physiotherapist and MI-E devices; or a combination of different techniques. Alison Armstrong reflects on how, when and why to use a lung volume recruitment bag.
